Born in Worcester and now living in a village near Kidderminster, Daniel first made the headlines as an international karting star, showing natural talent for the sport at the age of just five.

Unable to start racing for three years, he had plenty of time to get thousands of practice laps in and when he became eligible to compete professionally at the age of eight, he won his first national championship, going on to become a multiple British champion in a variety of categories.

His many victories over the years include winning the MSA British Cadet, Rotax and European Renault Super Libre titles, all establishing him as a force to be reckoned with in the karting world.

In 2006, Daniel gave up his professional karting career to focus on his business as a specialist in racing car preparation and restoration, paving the way for his powerful entrance into motorsport as a racing driver himself.

Driving to victory at the Radical Sportscars World Cup and SEAT Cupra Cup, with five wins and eight podiums at Lotus Cup and Elise Trophy events, the 2016 Renault UK Clio Cup was the next challenge, an event which saw him take pole position at the demanding Brands Hatch circuit.

In 2019 Daniel Rowbottom will make his debut season with the race winning Ciceley Motorsport Team.

Taking his long standing commercial partner Cataclean Racing as the title sponsor, giving both Daniel and Cataclean the largest UK motorsport platform available for continued growth.

Personally, Daniel, who is married to Sadie and continues to run his business alongside his professional sporting activities, is an avid fan of everything motorsport, from the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), Aussie Supercar and NASCAR to MTB Rider.
